Upgrade Notes

• Changed: the ecommerce admin pages look consistent with each other, navigation is grouped into logical menus, text is more readable in both light and dark themes, and the admin navigation no longer scrolls sideways.

Ecommerce admin navigation regrouped

• Grouped navigation: navbar items are reorganised into dropdown groups.
  • Catalog: Products, Categories, Reviews and Wishlist.
  • Sales: Orders, Discounts and Shipping.
  • Standalone: Dashboard and Settings remain direct links.
• Changed each dropdown to carry a descriptive header and a subtitle per item.
• Changed the navbar from 9 items to 4 main sections, so it no longer overflows.
• Changed the navigation to adapt properly on tablets, rather than dropping to icons only.
• Changed active sections and dropdown groups to be highlighted.

Card styling

• Dark mode cards: all cards now use one dark background instead of the two that had drifted apart.
• Card borders: cards carry a border, so they are visible against a light background.
• Shadow removal: card shadows are replaced by borders, which define a card better in both themes.
• Dashboard cards: stats cards, recent orders and top products are easier to see.
• Consistent theming: one colour scheme is applied across all ecommerce admin pages.

Settings page colours

• Card backgrounds: settings cards match the rest of the admin.
• Form elements: inputs and checkboxes render correctly in dark mode.
• Label colours: labels have enough contrast to read in both themes.
• Checkbox styling: the checked state uses one accent colour throughout.
• Button styling: hardcoded dark button colours are removed, so buttons follow the active theme.
